Gelbvieh cattle crossbred over British breeds,
notably, Angus, red and black, to
produce what is called a 'Balancer'.
Balancer cattle enjoy the benefits of easy calving,
rapid growth, hybrid vigour, extra saleable meat yield
combined with an even fat cover.

Howard Johnson (Clyde’s brother), wife Mary, their son and daughter in
T/A Arbroath Grazing Company, operate a grain growing and cattle
enterprise at Roma Q.
They are long time Norolle bull clients, using Gelbvieh over a
percentage of their 250, mainly Hereford breeders, for many years.
They are impressed with the fertility and mothering ability; and the
carcase quality and meat yield of the Gelbvieh cross stock.
The 11 ox and steers; and 24 heifers and cows in their
October 2012 consignment to Teys Abattoir at Beenleigh Q,
were all either EU or MSA rated.
